“SUMMER NIGHTS AT HARKNESS... MUSIC WITH PURPOSE!”

Music education in our local schools has faltered drastically. Children from the elementary age through the high school level are at a pivotal stage within their young developmental minds. We feel that a larger exposure to music and arts are both pivotal and exciting to students of all ages throughout Connecticut.

The seed’s that will grow from experiences and funds found throughout our organization will help fuel the potential of many youths who might not have received the opportunity otherwise. Throughout Connecticut, funding for music and art education in public schools have been SEVERLY CUT and have caused many missed opportunities for a potential calling in the music and arts field. Through our MUSIC WITH PURPOSE “Summer Nights at Harkness” concert series, we strive to raise awareness and with any profits made through these concerts we, as an organization, will give back to the music and arts education programs within Connecticut’s underprivileged public schools with disadvantaged youths in urban populations where funding has been severely and drastically cut.

ALONG WITH MUSIC EDUCATION FUNDING, BRING OUR MUSIC BACK, INC. HAS SET-UP TWO SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

- The "Rising Star" Scholarship Program

Awarded to (Ten) graduating high school seniors within Connecticut who acquire to furhter their education in the arts.

- Camp YPI Scholarship

(Two) One-Week Scholarships to the Connecticut based co-educational residential summer camp for the creative arts.
